Happy Canada Day, iPhone in Canada nation! Today marks the 149th birthday of our great country and it has never been easier to download and discover Canadian apps in the App Store.
The App Store has recently gained more and more curated Canadian apps, making it easier to discover relevant local apps and developers. The store has come a long way since the first Made in Canada iTunes section back in 2013.
Last year, Apple had a special Happy Canada Day section in the App Store, but that did not reappear in 2016. What we have now, is by far the most Canadian content and app sections we’ve ever seen in the store.

Fast forward to today—check out all the curated sections just for our Canadian App Store, ranging from travel apps, indie games, Aboriginal language apps and more:

There’s no doubt the App Store in Canada has gained much better curation for Canadians. Enjoy Canada Day, folks! (I’m off to the parade now #whatwhat)
