Google Docs and Sheets for iOS Can Now Open, Edit and Save MS Word Documents

Google Docs and Sheets for iOS have been updated this morning to allow the ability to open, edit and save Microsoft Word documents. Google Sheets also adds the ability to view charts, insert formulas, and use find/replace.

Back in May, Google Drive for iOS was updated to require users to download updated Google Sheets and Docs apps to edit files. Despite the change, frequent users of Google Docs and Sheets should be happy Microsoft Word files are now being supported.

You can still download Microsoft Office Mobile for your Word document editing needs, which went free for home use back in March.
