A job listing posted today reveals that Apple is after hiring physiologists to design and run user studies related to cardiovascular fitness and energy expenditure at its headquarters. The job listing was spotted by 9to5Mac.

The new job listing spills gas on speculation about a forthcoming product, the iWatch. As 9to5Mac previously reported, Apple has lured a sleep research expert away from Philips.
Apple is also working on a new dedicated heath app entitled “Healthbook“, which will likely be part of iOS 8. Also, the company has met with the FDA, confirming earlier rumours that claimed the iWatch would be stuffed with biometric sensors or, in other words, Apple is about to enter the health and fitness market.
The latest job listing adds more pieces to the iWatch and its biometric sensors puzzle: Apple has already made hires to enhance its alleged smart watch team, so at this point it is only a question of when, not if Apple will release that product to the public.
