MTS has announced it has made changes to meet the CRTC Wireless Code of Conduct, which comes into effect across Canada on December 2, 2013.
Back in August, MTS eliminated three year contracts and shifted over to two-year plans like other carriers. On December 2, MTS will have in place alerts for customers when their data consumption exceeds certain threshold.
MTS President Kelvin Shepherd said in a statement “We are committed to helping our customers find the wireless solution that works best for them,” and continued to say “That includes a great wireless plan backed by the leading provider of wireless services in Manitoba.”
Also coming will be the option to request copies of wireless contracts in different formats, including braille, large font or PDF.
Canadian carriers have been sure to let customers know they are meeting the new Wireless Code of Conduct. TELUS announced just over a week ago it also had met requirements of the new Code.
