What’s more interesting is that Apple will allegedly continue to go huge with the iPad, as well: the rumoured iPad Pro with 12.9-inch display is in the works, although we may not see it until sometime next year (via GforGames).

As we previously reported, the iPad Air 2 is said to sport 2 GB of RAM and the A8 chip – as usual. But what about the 12.9-inch iPad Pro? Sources speaking with TechNews have revealed that Apple has decided to continue the X-series chips with the Pro version of its tablet manufactured by TSMC. The sources had no information about the processor’s speed.

The forthcoming iPad Air 2 and possibly the second-generation of iPad mini with Retina display will be unveiled sometime next month. The devices will be thinner and lighter than the currently available models, but the biggest rumoured improvement is the anticipated Touch ID, as Apple has decided to step into the mobile payments market.
