The Vietnamese site, Tinhte.vn has posted a video (via AppleInsider) showing three cases they claim belong to the next generation 9.7-inch iPad. The YouTube video has been made private since then, so here is the video captured by the French site Nowhereelse.fr.
We have seen several alleged iPad 5 cases circulating around the blogosphere, but this is the first video to offer accurate information about the iPad 5 design and its rumoured size.
As you can see in the video, the iPad 5 will be significantly thinner and smaller. A quick measurement of the cases revealed a nearly 1 cm difference compared to the iPad 4’s left and right bezels. The iPad 4 is nearly 1.8 cm wide along the left and right edges, while the iPad 5 will likely be only 1 cm wide.
This video could serve as evidence of the rumoured iPad mini-like design the iPad 5 is expected to feature. Tinhte.vn has been a reliable source for rumours in the past. More recently their sources have reported a 12MP camera update for the iPhone 5S.
We will have to wait and see if these reports are true.
