Apple to Only Include 1 Sticker in New 2020 iPhone Boxes Reveals Unboxing [VIDEO]

Apple’s recent change to its packaging means it no longer includes USB power adapters in its box, along with headphones. The only thing you get now is a USB-C to Lightning cable, which will require you to buy your own USB-C power adapter if you don’t have one.

This change also applies to all iPhone 12 models, along with iPhone SE, iPhone 11, and iPhone XR.

Toronto-based YouTube channel Rjey recently unboxed a 2020 iPhone 11 which has Apple’s new smaller packaging, to show just what is inside these smaller boxes.

One unexpected surprise? Along with smaller documentation, Apple now only includes one Apple sticker in the box as well, instead of two. While this is not a big deal, those who want two stickers may be disappointed (we’ve never used our stickers, ever).

“This is my first look at the new 2020 iPhone Box, since the charging brick and earpods got removed the new iPhone box is now thinner than ever before. This is same box the new iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 Pro will be coming in,” explains Rjey.

Apple’s website currently explains for example, “as part of our efforts to reach our environmental goals, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max do not include a power adapter or EarPods. Please use your existing Apple power adapter and headphones or purchase these accessories separately.”

This text applies to all iPhones currently sold on Apple’s website.

Apple was recently mocked by Samsung for ditching the USB power adapter with iPhone 12 models. But you can bet other manufacturers will follow Apple’s decision here, as we’ve seen before.

What do you think about having just one sticker in iPhone boxes? Like we said, having one sticker is not a big deal in our case, but for hardcore fanboys and fangirls, this change may come as a disappointment.
