Apple Sends Cupertino Neighbours Another Brochure for ‘Campus 2’ Feedback

Last May Apple asked its Cupertino neighbours for feedback on its ‘Campus 2’ project via a brochure mailing, and now the company has done so yet again, reports MacRumors.

As Apple just recently submitted revised plans for its enormous environmentally friendly campus, the company continues to inform the neighbourhood of the project’s impact.

The brochure clearly indicates how the perimeter of the Campus 2 project will enhance the neighbourhood, with specific details about the impact on Homestead Road, Tantau Avenue, Wolfe Road and Vallco Parkway.

Apple states there will be new tree-lined medians with detached sidewalks, improved bike lanes and crosswalks, along with public art and “informative displays referencing the local environment to create a boulevard-like experience.”

Apple Campus 2 will powered by 100% renewable energy in the form of onsite fuel cells and photovoltaics. The company emphasizes their solar installation will be one of the largest in the world for a corporate headquarters.

The campus project is set to complete by mid-2016 after numerous delays and reports of it being $2 billion over budget.
