iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus Price Dropped $130-$260 in Canada; iPhone 6 Gone

Following its tradition of lowering the prices of outgoing models, Apple has discounted unlocked iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models in Canada, after today’s introduction of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus started at $899/$1029 last year for the paltry 16GB model. But now, 16GB has been finally eliminated, with 32GB being the base model, priced at $769/$999 CAD respectively for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

The new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus prices are listed below, with discounts compared to last year’s pricing in brackets:

iPhone 6s

  • 32GB – $769 ($130 off)
  • 128GB – $899 ($260 off)
iPhone 6s Plus
  • 32GB – $899 ($130 off)
  • 128GB – ($260 off)

Here are the unlocked iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus prices when they first launched last fall:

iPhone 6s

16GB – $899
64GB – $1029
128GB – $1159

iPhone 6s Plus

16GB – $1029
64GB – $1159
128GB – $1289

As you can see, waiting has its benefits. This also means Rogers, TELUS and Bell and other wireless carriers will also discount the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus on two-year contracts (if you’re into signing on the dotted line). Stay tuned for carrier pricing updates.

The reduction in iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus prices also meant the removal of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, as the latter models are no longer listed on Apple.ca. Thank you for serving your purpose, iPhone 6.
