McDonald’s Canada Mobile App Now Rewards You with Free Fries

McDonald’s Canada has announced its McCafe Mobile Rewards program has been revamped and renamed, now known as McDonald’s Rewards.

The new McDonald’s Rewards program now offers free fries as well, on top of its rewards on hot McCafe beverages.

The fast-food chain says currently 1 in 3 orders at restaurants include an order of fries, so the new reward “is another way Canadians can conveniently and simply get more of the food they love.”

The current McDonald’s Rewards program will provide a free reward after seven qualifying purchases. This can be any size hot beverage (except for espresso) and any size fries, including those in a combo.

Rewards can be earned within the McDonald’s Mobile app and also at the front counter, Drive Thru, kiosks and mobile ordering.

“Adding our World Famous Fries to McDonald’s Rewards is a natural, given our history of innovation and the love Canadians have for our fries,” said Lara Skripitsky, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, McDonald’s Canada, in a statement. “Now our guests can earn even more rewards on the food they love through our easy to use mobile app. And who doesn’t love free fries?”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, McDonald’s added Apple Pay support for in-app payments within its mobile app, allowing for expanded payment options for mobile orders.
