The new Booster Course Pass DLC was announced earlier this year during Nintendo Direct, and the first wave started rolling out back in March. Nintendo has said the DLC will be made up of a total of 48 courses, separated into six waves of 8 courses each for download. Waves will continue to be released until the end of 2023.

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass costs $32.99 CAD in Canada from the Nintendo eShop, but is free for anyone with an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.
