Freedom Mobile has launched new Friends & Family promo codes, which offer $15 per month discounts for 24 months.
Applicable to Big Gig plans, it’s possible to get a $45/10GB BYOD plan. If you use the code towards a smartphone on Absolute Zero, it’ll take it down to $60 per month.
How to get one of these Friends & Family promo codes? Ask a friend or family member that works for Shaw, Corus or Freedom Mobile, as employees are being given five codes each.
The codes can be used for new Freedom Mobile customers only and expire on December 19, but most likely will be extended beyond that date.
It’s worth noting Freedom Mobile recently increased the price of plans by $15 when you get an iPhone 11 or Samsung Galaxy S10 on contract, for example, which negates this promo code. Previously, you could get an iPhone XR with a $45/10GB ($60-$15) plan after a Friends & Family discount, but now it would cost $60/10GB ($75-$15).
Starting today, Freedom Mobile will be charging a connection fee of $20 for new postpaid sign ups, which we told you about yesterday.
