Shaw’s Freedom Mobile has announced it will soon launch in Prince George, British Columbia.
This morning, Freedom Mobile announced “Get ready, Prince George! Our affordable #BigGig plans and fast Extended Range LTE are coming your way.”
Extended Range LTE offers further coverage and improved indoor coverage for Freedom Mobile customers. Freedom Mobile currently also offers a $50/10GB BigGig data plan after digital discount, a monthly rate cheaper than Canada’s Big 3 wireless players.
Freedom Mobile recently launched in Brockville, Belleville, Cobourg, Pembroke and Cornwall in Ontario earlier this month. Back in February, Victoria, BC, and Red Deer, Alberta gained access to Freedom Mobile.
Joining Prince George as “coming soon”, is Nanaimo in B.C., along with Lethbridge and Medicine Hat in Alberta.
Interested Freedom Mobile customers can sign up on the company’s website for launch offers, which we’ve previously seen at $27.50 per month for 10GB of data.
Back in January, Shaw said Freedom Mobile’s wireless footprint now covers nearly 16 million Canadians, which is far shy from the 99% or so of the population metric Canada’s Rogers, Telus and Bell usually state in their marketing materials.
