You Can Now Jailbreak iOS 16.4.1 with Palera1n 2.0.0 Beta 6
Codenamed Bakepale, the latest v2.0.0 beta 6 update to jailbreak tool Palera1n has just been released, which fully supports iOS 16.4 - iOS 16.4.1 jailbreak.
[Update] Ultrasn0w iPhone Unlock Update for iOS 4.3.1 Coming Today
Update 1: MuscleNerd just sent out the following tweet:
ultrasn0w unlockers remember: please stay away until we get a chance to fix the problems 4.3.1 has with older basebands
So if you’re thinking of using the latest ultrasn0w update, my advice is to wait at least 24-72 hours before proceeding, as it’s a guarantee that new versions will be released with bug fixes.

On top of redsn0w being released today by the iPhone Dev Team, MuscleNerd just announced an update to the ultrasn0w unlock will be released as well (hopefully, he says). This doesn’t unlock new basebands, only the existing ones.
The current version, ultrasn0w 1.2, will unlock the following up to iOS 4.2.1:
- iPhone 4 baseband:
- 01.59.00
- iPhone 3G/3GS basebands:
- 04.26.08
- 05.11.07
- 05.12.01
- 05.13.04
- 06.15.00
- If you don’t have one of the above basebands, it cannot be unlocked right now.
The ultrasn0w update won’t be a new unlock. MuscleNerd explains iOS 4.3.1 breaks the current ultrasn0w unintentionally, and that the basebands it unlocks remains unchanged. The core payload of ultrasn0w has stayed the same since yellowsn0w days, but injection methods have just changed.
According to iDB, redsn0w and PwnageTool will be released at midnight PST, or GMT-8 tonight.

Does that mean that any baseband after 01.59.00 for the iPhone 4 are still not unlockable!?

But then if you paid the full price and have it factory unlocked then you shouldn’t worry about your baseband!

When it’s released redsn0w is pretty easy to update and keep your jailbreak
The program will create a custom firmware with the jailbreak in it which you use to update in iTunes. Once its installed just sync and your good to go. Any jailbreak stuff you obtained in Cydia and other sources will need to be installed again.
That’s just the basics, do some searches to find more detailed steps.

No, iPad 2 won’t be included.
That means you are screwed like me. Either you got it reinstalled or you updated to 4.2.1 without preserving the baseband.
That’s true, any way of figuring it out Joe? I upgraded to 4.2.1 without preserving my baseband. That sucks that the iPhone 4 can’t be unlocked at that baseband through this jailbreak 🙁
