Former NV Energy VP Takes Renewable Energy Manager Role at Apple

Earlier this month, former NV Energy Vice President Bobby Hollis took up a position at Apple as Senior Renewable Energy Manager, according to his LinkedIn pages, reports MacRumors. The move came after he had spent five years as Vice President of Renewable Energy and Origination at NV Energy in Nevada.

Apple’s new Senior Renewable Energy Manager has been named one of Las Vegas’s 40 Under Forty business leaders.

Renewable energy is one of Apple’s key priorities, and emphasize this, the company has posted a video showing its environmental responsibility. Also, Lisa Jackson, Apple’s Vice President for Environmental Initiatives, highlighted the company’s efforts at creating data centers powered entirely by clean sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal energy.

More recently, Green Peace has rewarded Apple’s efforts by giving the iPhone maker its 100% renewable energy index in the “Clicking Clean: How Companies Are Creating the Green Internet” report.
