Virgin Mobile Brings Back 2GB Data Add-On for $5 Per Month
If you’re Virgin Mobile customer, the company has brought back its 2GB data add-on for $5/month, available via self serve online, as noticed by RFD member d1ulove3:

Theoretically, you could subscribe to the $50 BYOD plan with 2GB data and 500 anytime minutes, then purchase this $5/month add-on to bump you up to 4GB of data, for a total of $55 per month.
Virgin Mobile also recently launched a $40/4GB plan (Fido matched Virgin yesterday) targeting new customers in BC and Alberta, in response to Public Mobile’s $38/4GB promo (after credit card auto renew), which expires November 20th.
The last time we saw Virgin Mobile offer this $5/2GB data add-on was back in June, as an offer only available by calling into the Retention department.
For those on the $40/4GB Virgin Mobile plan, let us know if you’re seeing the possibility of purchasing this 2GB data add-on. That would make for a sweet $45/6GB plan with unlimited province-wide calling.

very curious about the possibility of a $45/6GB plan, please someone let us know
I’ve just moved the line to the virgin from bell I’m not able to add any data on the top
I’m on the BYOD 50 plan and I don’t have the option of getting this
Any word on if Fido will match this offer? Namely matching this $40-4GB plan with a $5-2GB add on making it $45-6GB?
Thanks!
I pay the super ridiculous 110.00/mth for 5gb and don’t have this option.
Not seeing this on the self-serve site. Can you direct me to the page?
