iOS 18.1 Beta Download and More Out with Apple Intelligence

ios 18 1 beta download

Apple has started rolling out its first betas of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS 15.1 that include initial Apple Intelligence features.

Here’s what’s available for developers to download and test right now:

  • iOS 18.1 beta (22B5007p)
  • iPadOS 18.1 beta (22B5007p)
  • macOS 15.1 beta (24B5009l)

Remember, only the iPhone 15 Pro lineup and iPad and Mac devices with M1 or newer will support Apple Intelligence. Sorry iPhone 14 Pro owners.

To get access to Apple Intelligence beta, you will need to toggle it on in Settings on your device and join the waitlist. Also, it appears Apple Intelligence is not available in Canada yet. The workaround? Head to Settings > Language & Region and select United States. This should do the trick.

This release comes after Bloomberg reported yesterday Apple Intelligence features would be delayed to 18.1 and 15.1, set to come in October, delaying the release. The revamped Siri with Apple Intelligence won’t be part of this and is said to be coming later in early 2025.

Bah. Even though I could download on my iPad Pro (M4), the settings to be put on the list is not present, instead there is a line of text that says "Apple Intelligence is not currently available in your country or region.". In Canada.
