Quebecor’s Freedom Mobile has launched a new “prepaid special”, now offering a 6-month payment plan.
The company’s website was updated to offer a 6-month prepaid plan for $174, which it says works out to $29/15GB per month, or up to 90GB total data over the period. Speeds are at 4G LTE, up to 100 Mbps.

If you can pay $30 per month, Public Mobile’s 20GB plan with Canada/US talk, text and data is better, as it also includes 100 monthly international long distance minutes.
Recently, Rogers-owned Chatr matched Freedom Mobile’s $149/year plan with 30GB for prepaid. This is likely because Rogers and Fido are ending its prepaid wireless services in December and are telling customers to move to Chatr.
