Rogers Launches Comcast Xfinity Streaming in Canada

Rogers has officially launched Rogers Xfinity, a set of home services powered by Comcast’s technology platform.
The first feature available through this service, called Rogers Xfinity Streaming, combines popular streaming apps with free content, letting users access live sports, movies, news, and shows all in one place.
This rollout is part of a 10-year partnership between Rogers and Comcast, announced earlier this year.
“We’re thrilled to bring Comcast’s leading-edge Xfinity suite of products and services to Canadians” said Tony Staffieri, CEO, Rogers, in a statement earlier this week.
Along with streaming, Rogers Xfinity will provide internet and WiFi and will expand to include smart home technology for added security and control. Comcast’s technology, which includes features like AI and voice control, supports Rogers Xfinity’s service, allowing it to evolve over time.
“Rogers is a fantastic partner that shares our goal of providing customers with world-class connectivity and entertainment experiences,” said Dave Watson, CEO of Comcast Connectivity and Platforms, in a statement.
We saw how Rogers and Shaw recently revamped their streaming TV apps to Xfinity.
This launch comes as Rogers continues to upgrade its network, aiming to bring faster and more reliable internet to nearly seven million Canadian homes by the end of 2024.

Comcast the the most hated corporation in America. So when they say, "Rogers is a fantastic partner that shares our goal", I believe it!
Rogers might as well take the next level and rebrand to Comcast.
DOCSIS 4.0 anyone? 🤣
