The flanker brands of the ‘Big 3’, Fido, Koodo and Virgin Plus, have all magically launched a new plan for actual Black Friday, in the form of a $34 per month offering with 60GB of data. This plan was $39 but it has been cut by $5.
The plan touts included US calling, but does not include US data roaming, which is the most valuable feature nowadays. Public Mobile and Freedom Mobile offer North American roaming data, while Fido, Koodo and Virgin Plus continue to stall and refuse to offer US or Mexico data roaming.

You’ll notice how Virgin Plus has skipped the $44/80GB plan and instead introduced a $39/100GB plan. You can bet Fido and Koodo will match this shortly, and once again plans will keep changing as we head into the weekend and Cyber Monday.
