Rogers Xfinity WiFi App Not Working? Fix Coming in February

Rogers customers are facing problems with the Rogers Xfinity WiFi app, which has stopped working for some customers. The app lets Rogers customers set up and manage home Wifi and monitor connected devices, for example.

One frustrated customer shared their experience on Reddit, saying, “I’ve been trying to get this Xfinity WiFi app to work for the past day. After restarting my modem, restarting my devices, logging in and out of the app, and even reinstalling it, nothing has worked. Has anyone else run into this problem? I can’t figure out how to fix it.”

Rogers has acknowledged the issue. The official RogersHelps account (well, there’s no special badge or anything) on Reddit responded, “We are aware of this issue, and a fix is expected in February. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

In the meantime, Rogers is offering a temporary workaround. The company says to contact them so the tech team can perform a “hard zap” on the modem, which might fix the issue (basically a thorough restart). Again, Rogers keeps asking customers to post on the Rogers Community Forums for further help (it almost seems like they don’t want people airing their dirty laundry online).

Rogers began integrating Xfinity tech into its services in recent years as part of a partnership with Comcast, the U.S.-based owner of Xfinity.

So if you are having issues with your Rogers Xfinity Wifi app, a fix is coming soon (February is less than a week away).
