Apple Just Said it’s Delaying Personalized Siri Features

We previously learned from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman that Apple was said to be delaying some major Siri features, and now the iPhone maker appears to have made it official, telling multiple media outlets about a delay. This lede comes on a Friday after a busy week of new Apple product refreshes.

Apple told Reuters in a statement, it has “been working on a more personalized Siri, giving it more awareness of your personal context, as well as the ability to take action for you within and across your apps. It’s going to take us longer than we thought to deliver on these features and we anticipate rolling them out in the coming year.”

No timeline on when a more personalized Siri is coming, but at this point, it could be at WWDC or later when the next iPhone or iOS 19 launches. This is disappointing news for buyers of an iPhone 16 series that were told Apple Intelligence features would be the next best thing since sliced bread. But the major Siri upgrade has yet to materialize and by the time it does, it will likely still be far behind competitors such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok.

What are your thoughts on the delay of a personalized Siri? Apple, just get it right and ship a Siri that works. iPhone users are tired of waiting.

Time for a class action – made for AI is false advertising

I literally bought the iPhone 16 because I thought I needed to upgrade for the AI tools. The phone has served me well but I definitely feel ripped off by the slow rollout of any new and useful features.

I want to say "well at least they're doing it right" but the ai features they have released still feel half baked compared to the competition.

I also bought an iPhone 16 PM for these features and feel ripped off. I usually upgrade every year, but I'm going to save my money this year.
