Fido and Virgin Plus Shake Up Mobile Plans, Yet Again

We’re seeing some more musical chairs when it comes to the flanker brands of Rogers, Telus and Bell.
Fido has revised its plans to increase the price of its 60GB offering, while dropping the price of its 80GB plan by $1, on top of removing the international calling perk.
Here are Fido’s plans as of today, April 8:
- $35/3GB
- $37.50/2GB
- $39/60GB (was $44; international long distance axed)
- $55/80GB (was $54; international long distance axed)
For the 60GB and 80GB plans, their previous promos were supposed to end on April 14, but it looks like Fido has changed them up earlier than expected.
As for Telus-owned Koodo? Nothing has changed with its plans.
Koodo (no changes)
- $25 pay-per-use data
- $39/60GB (there’s an unlimited long distance perk)
- $54/80GB
For Bell’s Virgin Plus? The previous $39/60GB and $55/80GB plans with international long distance have been removed by Virgin Plus, leaving just a lonely $39/20GB talk, text and 4G data plan.
Virgin Plus
- $39/20GB
- $25 talk and text (pay per use data)
- $19/250MB and $39/3GB plans with 3G data
Things continue to move quickly when it comes to plans from Fido, Koodo and Virgin Plus, even compared to just one week ago.
Today also marks a $3 wireless price increase for some Fido customers.
