Fido Users: Check Your Account for 30GB Free Data
Rogers-owned Fido looks to be giving out free data bonuses again for select customers (if you’re lucky).
Some customers logging into their online Fido accounts are seeing the 30GB data bonus, on top of a free 10GB data bonus doled out previously, according to RFD. This is a monthly data bonus so that’s an extra 30GB of data per month.
A screenshot shows the new 40GB data bonus applied (30GB + 10GB) on a 90GB plan that has 1,000 long distance minutes. This particular Fido customers is paying $35.65 per month and now has 130GB of data per month.
Others chimed in on RFD to say they also received the 30GB bonus, while someone else said they now have 140GB of total monthly data, which seems excessive for the average user.
Again, this 30GB data bonus offer from Fido isn’t for everyone, as it seems targeted. You need to log into your account online and check for any special offers and accept them.
We’ve periodically seen Rogers and Fido give out free data to customers, in what is usually seen as a way to keep customers from leaving to other carriers.
Let us know in the comments if you’re seeing any free data offers in your Fido account or not, and also what you’re currently paying per month.
