Bell Unveils New Financing Option on iPhone 17 Launch Day
Bell has rolled out a new smartphone payment plan called Flex Option, launching nationwide on September 9, 2025—the same day Apple unveils its iPhone 17 lineup at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.
The program changes how Canadians can pay for their devices, says Bell. Traditionally, Bell customers had two choices at the end of a 24-month contract with device return option plans (essentially phone leasing): return their phone or pay off the remaining balance in one lump sum.
With Flex Option, there’s now a third path: spreading the balance over 12 extra monthly payments at 0% interest.
That means someone upgrading to a new flagship phone, like the iPhone 17, can keep their monthly budget in check without being hit with a large one-time bill. Flex Option is available to both new and existing Bell customers on new activations or upgrades (consumer and small business). Device payments during the final 12 months are simply split into equal installments based on the deferred amount.
Bell says it is the first national carrier in Canada to give customers this type of extended, interest-free financing on devices.
