Virgin Plus Just Cut Data on Its Best Roaming Plan by 20GB
Bell’s flanker brand Virgin Plus continues to make changes to its wireless plans. After tweaking them yesterday, it has made a change today for its flagship North American roaming plan.
Here are Virgin Plus plans as of writing:
- $39/20GB
- $44/60GB
- $49/60GB (was 80GB) Canada-US-Mexico
As you can see, data has been cut for the $49 plan by 20GB, down to 60GB. This now matches the $44/60GB plan, which does not include any roaming. It seems like Virgin Plus wants you to pay $5 more for roaming if you’re getting the same 60GB data bucket.
This change now matches data for Canada-US-Mexico from Fido, but it’s 20GB less than Koodo.
These plans are just not that great when you compare them to the likes of Freedom Mobile which includes global roaming.
