It appears Rogers now supports Apple Business Chat, which lets iPhone and iPad users get help via the default Messages app on their devices.
“Business Chat lets you communicate with Apple and other businesses using Messages. Start a chat to get answers to your questions, schedule appointments, resolve issues, make purchases, and more,” explains Apple on the feature.
iPhone in Canada reader M.G. noticed today if you text the Rogers toll free number 1-888-764-3771, you’ll now see an option to start a chat with Messages, as per the screenshot below:
The ‘Message Us Now’ option has a Messages icon, along with the message “get fast, easy support from our team”. The Rogers logo also shows along with a ‘verified’ badge. You can either message or call Rogers in the options above.
Other carriers have long supported Apple Business Chat, specifically Shaw’s Freedom Mobile, debuting support back in October 2019. Apple’s own store app on iOS launched Apple Business Chat support back in March of this year.
Apple Business Chat lets you chat with a human and saves you time from needed to call a company, or open up a chat in Safari, instead conversing right within the Messages app.
