Apple Pay Launches at Affinity, Collabria, Conexus, Envision Financial Credit Unions

On top of this morning’s Apple Pay announcement with Canadian Tire’s Options Mastercard for digital instant issuance, more financial institutions in Canada have supported Apple’s mobile wallet, specifically the following four credit unions:

  • Affinity Credit Union
  • Collabria Financial Services
  • Conexus Credit Union
  • Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union

Back in August, Coast Capital Savings added support for Apple Pay for both debit and credit cards. As for Servus Credit Union members, they announced back in the summer they were undergoing the process of adding support for Apple Pay.

User are being told to update to the latest versions of these credit union iOS apps, in order to setup Apple Pay. Let us know how it goes.

Tried to install it with my Envision Financial Interac card. Turns out, I don’t have their newer “Flash” cards (the one you just wave over the keypad for paying). I guess I’ll have to exchange my Interac card before trying it. But it looks like it’s all set up and ready to go.

Tried to update the Envision app and now get a message saying that the app won’t load, try later. I’ve been trying for hours and no luck. Not very impressed…
