[Update] PwnageTool 4.3.3.1 and redsn0w 0.9.6rc16 Download Available: Fixes Side Switch Vibration Issue

Update: @i0n1c states this newest jailbreak should fix the battery drain issue with the previous PwnageTool 4.3.3/redsn0w 0.9.6rc15 jailbreak.

BTW: by using the latest RedSw0w you also might decrease the battery drain.

Process Priority was not restored after the kernel exploit. That might have caused some battery drain.

The iPhone Dev Team has released a minor update to both PwnageTool and redsn0w for iOS 4.3.3. The update includes a fix for the side switch vibration issue being experienced by iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 users. Once again, @i0n1c is to thank for this!

If you’re suffering from this vibration issue, just run this newest version of redsn0w over your existing jailbreak, and uncheck “Install Cydia”. It’s also safe for ultrasn0w unlockers too.

There’s also good news for Windows 7/Vista users too:

If you’re already jailbroken at 4.3.3 (by either redsn0w or custom IPSW), you can install this fix simply by running redsn0w rc16 over your existing jailbreak. Just uncheck the “Install Cydia” option and check any other options you want.  The fix will be installed no matter what you’ve selected.  This is safe for even ultrasn0w unlockers to do (because redsn0w itself won’t update your baseband…only an iTunes stock IPSW update/restore will do that).

Windows 7 and Vista users should no longer need to set their CPU affinity…just run redsn0w as Administrator in XP compatiblity mode.

Remember, use redsn0w if you don’t need an iPhone unlock.

If you need an unlock, use PwnageTool (Mac) or sn0wbreeze (PC) to jailbreak.
