Apple Said to Launch iPhone 6 on Friday, September 19 Without 16 GB Version

Apple will allegedly launch its next-generation iPhone on Friday, September 19, one year after the debut of the iPhone 5s, claims a new report spotted by GforGames. Earlier this year, Deutsche Telecom began informing customers that the iPhone 6 would go on sale on September 19.

The same Chinese source has information about the possible price of the highly anticipated handsets. There is no word about the entry-level, 16 GB iPhone 6; the source has heard only about the 32 GB version, which will cost 5,288 yuan (roughly $846) and the 64 GB version retailing for 6,288 yuan (or about $1,008). The 16 GB iPhone 5s is currently listed at 5,288 yuan, while the 64 GB version costs 6,088 yuan.

While September 19 could be just an educated guess, it does fall in line with Apple’s product release pattern, at least for the past two iPhones. Also, it is worth mentioning that Apple typically launches products on a Friday.

Apple is widely expected to release two iPhone 6 models: 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions of the same handset. The latter will allegedly stand out with an exclusive optical image stabilization feature in addition to its bigger screen.
