Apple Preparing to Seed iOS 8.0.1 to Carrier Testing Partners

Although developers are running only the fifth beta of iOS 8, and there are just four more days to go until the media event Apple has scheduled for September 9, BGR’s sources say the company is making preparations to seed iOS 8.0.1 to its carrier testing partners.

Ios 8 new features

Details of version 8.0.1 are as yet unknown, as is its release date, although last year Apple released iOS 7.0.1 shortly after the iPhone 5s became available.

Apple will hold a media event next Tuesday, where it is expected to release two new iPhone models – 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions – as well as its new wearable device, the highly anticipated iWatch.

The latest available iOS 8 beta is no. 5, which was pushed out about a month ago. Since we are approaching the official iOS 8 release date, Apple will likely push out at least the awaited golden master, which was said to be already in testing at the company’s carrier partners.
