Bell Highlights 24/7 Community Forums as Rogers Pulls the Plug

Earlier this month, Rogers quietly ended their online community forums, along with the one for Fido customers as well.
Community forums are a way for customers to get support from customer service representatives and other customers. Taking it away means one less layer of support. The Roger and Fido forums now just redirect to their support page on the web.
Well, we don’t know if this was deliberate, but Bell recently touted its own community forums. The company said on the weekend on X, “Got a MyBell account? Join the Bell Community Forum to get 24/7 support, ask questions & connect with other customers. Start here: http://Bell.ca/forum.”
Bell also has forums for its flanker brand Virgin Plus and prepaid service Lucky Mobile. They’re not alone though, because Telus also still has forums for its own brand and also Koodo and Public Mobile.
Rogers raised its connection fee in late July to $80 and we’re still waiting for Telus and Bell to match. We don’t know when it will happen, but we definitely know it is coming at some point.
