Fido Matches Virgin Plus to Undercut Koodo by $1 on Canada-US-Mexico Plans

Rogers-owned Fido has made changes to its website yet again, this time tweaking its plan to match its rivals.

Here are Fido’s plans as of April 17, 2026:

  • $40/60GB (was $44); ends April 20
  • $49/80GB (was 60GB) Canada-US-Mexico

All of these plans include unlimited international calls to 27 countries and they are eligible for a $0 hotspot promo (which is crazy because tethering should always be free). These changes mean Fido has also axed its $39/20GB plan, and now it only has two plans showing. It’s also wild that the $40/60GB plan has an April 20 end date. But to those who aren’t tracking changes and are seeing that end date at a mall kiosk or store, the end date means something for the workers to close sales.

So what about Koodo and Virgin Plus? Let’s take a look…

Koodo

  • $40/60GB
  • $50/80GB Canada-US-Mexico
  • $55/100GB

Virgin Plus

  • $40/60GB
  • $49/80GB Canada-US-Mexico

Looks like Fido has matched Virgin Plus in just offering two plans again, with both of these companies undercutting Koodo’s North America plan by $1. Koodo continues to offer a $55/100GB plan.

None of these plans are major deals by any means. You can get cheaper North American plans from Public Mobile and also global plans from Freedom Mobile.
