Apple ‘iPhone 12 Studio’ Lets You Visualize MagSafe Accessory Combos

On Saturday, Nov. 7, Apple launched a new visualization tool for the iPhone 12 lineup known as the iPhone 12 Studio — as spotted by MacRumors.

The iPhone 12 Studio is a web tool that lets you visualize how certain MagSafe accessories in specific colors will pair with your iPhone 12. At the time of this writing, the Studio is limited to Apple’s MagSafe covers and wallets.

The web app is designed for phones and tablets, and can be accessed via an internet browser of your choosing. Once you’re on the landing page for the Studio, tap on Get Started and you’ll be prompted to select your device — an iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, or iPhone 12 Mini, and a color for your device.

Next, you can personalize your iPhone with a MagSafe case and/or wallet of your choice, in the exact colours you select, and see what the end result will look like.

Tapping on Continue will let you name your personalized setup of MagSafe accessories and even download a picture of it. Tapping on Buy in the top-right, on the other hand, will take you to an Apple Shop page where you can purchase your selected accessories.

As we’ve seen in our MagSafe Charger hands-on, the wireless charger is not a must-have accessory and it’s also expensive. It also doesn’t exactly charge the fastest unless you have Apple’s 20W power adapter.

Apple’s MagSafe accessories have been in some hot water as of late, so going big on a customer satisfaction tool like the iPhone 12 Studio — that lets customers see exactly what the accessories they order will look like on their phone — is a step in the right direction.
