Apple WWDC 2014 News Roundup: What You Need to Know

Apple kicked off WWDC 2014 today with their annual keynote and they made big announcements in their previews of iOS 8 and OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

  • Attendees from 69 countries; 66% were first timers
  • 80 million Macs installed; OS X Mavericks has 40 million copies installed
  • Over 800 million iOS devices sold to date: 100 million iPod touch, 200 million iPad, 500 million iPhone
  • 130 million customers from iOS in the past year
  • iOS 7 satisfaction at 97%; 89% of install base running iOS 7
  • App Store has 1.2 million apps
  • 300 million visits to the App Store weekly; 75 billion apps downloaded

Come on! We need the Canada relevant info! Will Rogers support Wifi calling at launch? Great job by the way, but I come here to know about local stuff
