Canadian price is ridiculous given the current exchange rate. It’s not worth it anymore.
iPhone 6S and 6S Plus:
2GB or 4GB RAM. Anyone know?
I’ve been seeing conflicting reports.
It’s 2GB: https://www.iphoneincanada.ca/news/iphone-6s-2gb-ram/
iPad Pro most likely has 4GB of RAM.
seriously, is there anything we as consumers can do to lobby for canadian apple pay? or am i the only person who longs to be able to leave the wallet at home for more things than a starbucks run?
Just stick a BMO MasterCard sticker to your phone – you can tap-to-pay with your phone just as well. Install the BMO app if you want to check your balance. It’s interesting how wowed many cashiers are by this, even when I tell them it’s just a sticker.
So, who is going to go for the 6S?
I was planning to upgrade as I’m still using a 5S, but the enormous price tag has made me take pause. There’s really no ‘must-have’ feature that can’t be done with my current phone, and paying over $1000 for a slightly faster phone, with slightly better camera and slightly larger screen is tough to justify. Even as an Apple junkie.
It’s tempting to wait another year and get the iPhone 7, which presumably will have a new form factor, and we quite possibly might see a stronger Canadian dollar next year.
I think the biggest selling point is the “3D Touch”, which could potentially be a huge productivity boost. Basically, it’s a right-click for touch screens. Depending on how many back-and-forth type tasks you do on your phone, it could make a huge difference.
I am skipping. Not paying the price Apple’s calling for. It’s a wake up call how much money I have wasted in the past few years for little improvements.
